How is the amount for each paycheck worked out?
For a bill or goal, Stashday takes what's still needed and divides it by the paydays left before the due date, rounding up to the cent. Money you've already set aside counts. If a paycheck runs short, later paydays make up the difference.
Why didn't the total change when I checked a fund off?
On purpose. Checking off records that you moved the money; this payday's numbers stay put so the checklist doesn't shift under you. The next payday's amounts reflect it.
What does Paid it do?
It records the payment. A recurring bill moves to its next due date (a bill due the 31st comes back to the 31st), anything left over carries forward, and a shortfall is made up over the next cycle. A one-time goal is archived as done.
I tapped Paid it by mistake
Open the fund and swipe left on the payment in History to delete it. Deleting the latest Paid it also puts the due date back, and brings a paid goal back to Home.
Deleting a fund
Archive it from the fund's screen, then swipe it away in Settings › Archived funds. That deletes the fund and its history for good.
Asking Siri
Say "How much this payday in Stashday" and Siri answers with what's left to set aside, without opening the app. It's also in the Shortcuts app.
My payday fell on a weekend
For twice-a-month and monthly pay, a payday on Saturday or Sunday counts as the Friday before, which is when most employers pay.
Restoring Stashday Pro
On a new phone, open Settings in Stashday and tap Restore Purchases. Pro follows your Apple Account, and Family Sharing works too.
The widget shows "Open Stashday"
Open the app once after installing or updating, so the widget can find your funds.
Reminders aren't arriving
Check Settings › Notifications › Stashday on your iPhone, then the Reminders toggles in Stashday's own Settings.
