Can I move my tanks to a new phone?

Yes. With Cloud Sync, sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on the new iPhone or iPad, open TankLog and go to Settings, then Cloud Sync. If it asks, tap Restore Purchase. Your tanks come down from your iCloud.

Without Cloud Sync, use Export in Settings to save your full history as a file, then Import it on the new device. You control the file. The app also keeps a few automatic safety copies on your device so a mistake can be undone.

How many tanks can I track?

Up to three, each with its own parameters, schedules, livestock and history.

Why didn't I get a reminder?

Reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device. Check that notifications are allowed for TankLog in the iOS Settings app, and that the care schedule has a due date.

Where is my data?

On your device. Without Cloud Sync, nothing you enter leaves it. With Cloud Sync, a synced copy is also kept in your own private iCloud. TankLog can't see it, and it's never sold, shared or used to market to you. See the privacy policy for the full details.

What is Cloud Sync?

An optional one-time purchase, with no subscription and no TankLog account. It keeps your tanks (logs, schedules, specs, settings and photos) in your own iCloud, so they're backed up and the same on every iPhone and iPad signed in to your Apple Account. TankLog works fully without it.

I bought Cloud Sync on another device

Go to Settings, then Cloud Sync, and tap Restore Purchase. It works on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.

Cloud Sync says iCloud is off or full

Cloud Sync uses your iCloud, so iCloud needs to be on, with the same Apple Account on each device: Settings, then your name, then iCloud. If your iCloud storage is full, syncing pauses and nothing on your device is lost. Free up space or add iCloud storage, and syncing resumes on its own. TankLog uses a little of your iCloud storage, mostly for photos.

Do changes made offline sync?

Yes. Changes you make without a connection sync the next time you're online.

How do I delete my data?

Delete a tank inside the app to remove its contents and photos. To remove TankLog's copy from iCloud, go to Settings, then Cloud Sync, then Delete TankLog data from iCloud. This removes it from your iCloud on all your devices and turns sync off. The tanks on this device stay. The privacy policy explains exactly what is stored and removed.
